Moshe Body Hereditary ( Hebrew מֹשֶׁה לַייב אֶרבליך), also Moshe Leib from Sassow ( Hebrew מֹשֶׁה לַייב מִ סָאסוֹב), (* 1745 in Brody , Poland ; † January 13, 1807 in Sassiw , Austrian Empire ), was a rabbi , author and founder of the Sassiv dynasty of Hasidim ( Sassow-Hasidim ).

Life

Moshe Leib was inherited as the son of Rabbi Jakob Erblich (Hebrew הרב יעקב ערבליך) and Mrs. Rivka ( Hebrew רבקה) born in Brody. He was a student of Samuel Horowitz , who in turn was a student of the Dow Bear von Mesritsch . Later he was a student of Elimelech von Lyschansk . He later moved to Opatów , then to Sassiv, where he founded a school and the Hasidim dynasty. His son was the Chief Rabbi Yekusiel Shmelka Hereditary (1800-1861), his grandson was the Chief Rabbi Yaakov Tzvi Hereditary, who was active in Porosov.
