Moskwa TV was a German band in the field of electronic dance music .

biography

In the early 1980s, Talla 2XLC began his career as a DJ in Frankfurt am Main and played primarily Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode . Together with RaHen he founded the formation Moskwa TV, which was way ahead of its time with its techno sound. Axel Henninger could be won as a producer. The debut album Dynamics & Discipline was produced by RaHen and Talla 2XLC together with Kurt Ader and Axel Henninger / Naskrent in their Dynaton studio. Ion Javelin (Jan Veil) joined them during the production of the debut album.

Ion Javelin (Jan Veil), the voice of Moskwa TV, joined Moskwa TV on the recommendation of his record company CBS. At CBS he released his first single, Dancing In Heaven , under the pseudonym Gary Chandler , but it was not very successful.

RaHen and Javelin composed the vocal melody of Generator 7/8 together.

With Generator 7/8 and Tekno Talk , Moskwa TV released two vinyl records that were initially played in various clubs in the Frankfurt techno scene and then also at larger events.

After the release of the second long player Blue Planet (1987) there were disputes between the band members. Talla 2XLC the influence of Ion Javelin became too great and they were looking for a new singer. However, since the candidates did not like or withdrew, Ion Javelin returned to the formation. Talla 2XLC left the band because of another dispute - this time with Axel Henninger and Ion Javelin over the copyrights of the songs.

In 1988, Axel Henninger left Moskwa TV because of financial disputes with the Westside label because of its production activities. The naming rights then remained with Ion Javelin, whose record company Westside had financially agreed with Talla 2XLC .

Axel Henninger then made a name for himself as a producer, lyricist and composer. So he produced u. a. Camouflage ( Love Is A Shield , The Story Of The Falling Fighters and also co-wrote their hit Strangers Thoughts ), Paddy Goes To Holyhead , Okay , Deborah Sasson , Chandeen , X-Perience and De / Vision .

In 2003 Javelin released the album 'Broken Surface' ('03) together with H. Löwy ('Chandeen').
