Okay (often written as OK , OK or OKAY! ) Is a German pop band that was mainly active in the 1980s.

Career

The band was founded in 1985 in Frankfurt am Main by the then 16-year-old singer Marcus Gabler together with keyboardist Christian Berg, initially under the name Couleur Trois . Couleur Trois opened their concerts with a collage of various voice recordings that Marcus Gabler collected over a period of two years. In spring 1987 he single-handedly developed the title Okay! From these sound snippets . . In the summer of 1987, the label WESTSIDEmusic (under the unloved by the band spelling OK ) released a first version of the title on the compilation Best Beats III from Westside .
