The Mossy River is an approximately 200 km long left tributary of the Saskatchewan River in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan .
River course
The Mossy River rises east of Cub Lake at an altitude of 670 m . The headwaters are 150 km northeast of the city of Prince Albert not far from the Saskatchewan Highway 106 (Prince Albert - Flin Flon ). The Mossy River flows in a predominantly east-southeast direction through the east of the province of Saskatchewan. North of the river are the two larger lakes Big Sandy Lake and Seager Wheeler Lake . The Mossy River eventually meets a left arm of the Saskatchewan River, which later flows into Cumberland Lake . The Mossy River forms a strongly meandering behavior with numerous river loops on its upper course . The catchment area of the Mossy River covers an area of around 3,750 km².
