The Mossy River is a river in the Canadian province of Manitoba .
The Mossy River forms the outflow from Dauphin Lake to Lake Winnipegosissee to the north in western Manitoba. It flows in a northerly direction and reaches Winnipegosis the southwestern shore of Winnipegosissees. At the outflow from Dauphin Lake, the outflow is regulated by the Mossey River Dam , built in 1964 . The river runs on its route within the rural municipality of Mossey River . The 35.4 km long river drains an area of about 9700 km². It has a gradient of around 8.2 m. The mean discharge is 11.9 m³ / s. At the settlement of Fork River , Manitoba Provincial Road 269 crosses the river. Manitoba Provincial Road 364 crosses the river 2 miles south of Winnipegosis .
