Mostomalta is a metalcore / hardcore band from Mendoza, Argentina .
history
The group, which was founded in 1998, consists of Gerardo Villalobos ( vocals ), Marcos Veron ( electric guitar ), Joaquin Gonzalez (electric guitar), Gerli ( drums ) and Pedro Sabanovich ( electric bass ). Singer Villalobos is also active with Nueva Ética . Mostomalta is under contract with Seven Eight Life Recordings from Brazil and Vegan Records (Argentina).
So far the band has released an EP , an album and a split album. The texts, which are all written in Spanish, mostly deal with animal welfare , veganism and the straight-edge way of life, but also with political and social grievances.
The band spent the summer of 2013 on a two-month European tour. Mostomalta played at several music festivals, including the Ieper Hardcore Fest , the Resurrection Fest and the Fluff Fest . Since then the band has not appeared again.
