The V 85 TT is a touring enduro from Moto Guzzi , which belongs to the medium displacement class. The motorcycle was announced in late 2017 and went into series production in spring 2019. It should combine classic design with modern equipment and is designed for road use or light terrain. This is reflected in the model name, where "TT" stands for "Tutto Terreno" - in English: any terrain.

drive

engine

The engine is, typically Moto Guzzi, a longitudinally installed air-cooled 90 degree V2 four-stroke engine . It has two valves per cylinder, which are operated by a central camshaft via tappets, push rods and rocker arms. The inlet valve is made of titanium , the comparatively low weight of which enables a sharp cam profile. The mixture is prepared by an electronic injection and the air supply is regulated by a central throttle valve with a diameter of 52 mm. The throttle valve is electronically controlled (so-called ride-by-wire ), which means that different responses can be achieved. From a displacement of 853 cm³ and a compression ratio of 10.5: 1, the engine achieves 59 kW (80 hp) at 7750 rpm. The maximum torque is 80 Nm at 5000 rpm, with more than 70 Nm available between 3500 rpm and 8000 rpm. A six-speed gearbox and a cardan shaft transfer the power to the rear wheel. The cardan drive is a unique selling point of the V 85 TT, which it offers as the only travel enduro in the medium displacement class (status 04/2019). The motorcycle is homologated according to the Euro 4 emissions standard and consumes 4.9 L / 100 km in the WMTC cycle, or emits 118 g of CO 2 per kilometer.

landing gear

The V 85 TT has a tubular steel frame, the engine is included as a load-bearing element. A 41 mm upside-down fork is installed at the front, the preload and damping of which is adjustable and offers 170 mm of travel. A single spring strut between the double swing arm and the frame is used for rear suspension. Just like the suspension fork, it is adjustable in preload and damping and offers 170 mm of travel. The braking system includes two floating 320 mm Brembo disc brakes on the front wheel and a single 260 mm disc on the rear wheel. The V 85 TT is only available with spoked wheels: 19- inch diameter at the front and 110/80 tires, 17 inches and 150/70 at the rear.

Furnishing

At the start of sales there are five different colors to choose from, which are divided into two variants: either two-tone paintwork with a red frame ("Yellow Sahara", "Red Kalahari") or one-color paintwork with a black frame ("Grau Atacama", "Blue Atlante", "Red Vulcano"). The two-tone version is equipped with Michelin Anakee Adventure tires and offers a different seat cover than the single-color version that rolls as standard on the Metzeler Tourance Next. Moto Guzzi charges € 12,300 in Germany for the two-tone V 85 TT, while the single-color is available from € 11,990.
