The SC Eintracht was founded in 1990 as the successor to TSG MAB Schkeuditz as a result of the changed economic conditions in East Germany. The TSG had the status of a company sports association (BSG), whose leading sponsoring company was the VEB Maschinen- und Apparatebau Schkeuditz. TSG, for its part, developed from the Schkeuditz sports community, which was founded in 1945. In 1948 the SG adopted the name "Einheit". After the system of company sports associations was introduced, the sports association was transformed into BSG Stahl Schkeuditz between 1949 and 1950. In 1952 it was named BSG Motor, following the uniform grid of the BSG system. As a result of further restructuring measures, the name was changed to TSG Schkeuditz in 1969, an indication of the arrival of other sponsoring companies. In 1972 the machine and apparatus construction took over the management of the sponsorship, and consequently the nameless TSG became TSG MAB. It stayed that way until SC Eintracht was founded. The company sports associations usually had several sports in their program, but the BSG / TSG in Schkeuditz mainly performed in public with their soccer team. The sports club Eintracht also names football first in its offer, alongside basketball, badminton, table tennis and disabled sports (as of 2007). The Walter Lutze sports field with a capacity of 1500 spectators is available to the SC.

Football development

A soccer team of the SG Schkeuditz can be determined for the first time in the season 1948/49, in which it is listed in 14th place in the district league Leipzig. In 1953, BSG Motor was promoted to the Leipzig District League, which was introduced in 1952 after the GDR soccer match , in which it improved from place to place in the following years and in 1957 achieved the title of district champion with first place. So she was qualified for the third class II. DDR -Liga, could only hold there for two seasons at first, only to play again for two years in the II. DDR-Liga after the immediate promotion. After the end of the 1962/63 season, this league was dissolved, and Schkeuditz found himself in the Leipzig district league. There the team occupied sometimes good, sometimes worse midfield positions until 1977, when TSG MAB became district champion for the third time, and thus rose to the second-rate GDR league . However, the team did not have what it takes to be second class and rose in 1978 as 10th and third from bottom back in the district league. There things went downhill steadily in the following years before in 1984, the penultimate, relegation to the district class had to be accepted. It was promoted again in 1985 and relegation in 1986 and again in the district league in 1989.

The soccer team of SC Eintracht also started in 1990 in the district league, which at that time was only fourth class in the DFB's game operations . In 1993 the SC suffered the fate of relegation, the district class, later only seventh class could be held until 2002. After five years in the Leipzig City League, SC Eintracht returned to the district class in 2007 with the city championship.

Since 2006, women's football has also been active in the regional league (Leipzig district).

Status: November 2009.
