Mouloud Mammeri
Mouloud Mammeri ( Central Atlas Tamazight ⵎⵓⵍⵓⴷ ⵎⵄⵎⵎⵔⵉ Mulud Meɛmmeri ; * December 28, 1917 in Taourirt Mimoune (Ath Yenni) in Kabylia ; † February 26, 1989 with Ain Defla ) was an Algerian- Kabyle writer, anthropologist and linguist.
Mammeri studied in Rabat , Algiers and Paris . After his military service in World War II , he worked as a teacher. Later he was professor at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Algiers and director of the Center Algérien de Recherches Anthropolouges, Préhistoriques et Ethnographiques . He wrote novels and dramas.
