Mount Achala ( Spanish Monte Achala ) is a mountain at the northern end of the Telefon Ridge ridge on Deception Island in the South Shetland Islands .
Participants in the Argentine Antarctic Expedition in 1956 named it after a mountain of the same name in Argentina . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names converted the Spanish name into English in 1965.
