Mount Bruce is a prominent 1640 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises south of the Stuhlinger Piedmont Glacier between the Gannutz and Barber glaciers in the Bowers Mountains .
He was discovered in February 1911 during an exploration trip with the research ship Terra Nova on the north coast of Victoria as part of the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott . It is named after Lieutenant (RNR) Wilfred Montague Bruce (1874–1953), an officer on board the Terra Nova .
