Mount Combs is an approximately 1000 m high and isolated mountain on the Bryan coast of the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises from the ice masses on the Rydberg Peninsula .
Participants of the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) discovered him. Expedition leader Finn Ronne named him after the US politician and Congressman Jesse Martin Combs (1889-1953), who had campaigned for the research trip to come about.
