Mount Crummer is a 895 m high mountain range made of brown granite in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Prince Albert Mountains , it rises on the southern flank of the Backstairs Passage Glacier .
The mountain was discovered by participants in the Nimrod expedition (1907-1909) under the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton . The further naming background is not passed down; presumed namesake is Henry Samuel Walker Crummer (1839-1921), an Australian surveyor.
