Mount Dowie is a 1,524 m high mountain with numerous ridges , which towers 5 km west of Mount Hollingshead in the Aramis Range of the Prince Charles Mountains in the east Antarctic Mac-Robertson-Land .
It was discovered in January 1957 by the southern group of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions under the direction of the Australian mountaineer William Gordon Bewsher (1924–2012). It is named after Donald Alexander Dowie (1917-2016), medical officer on Mawson Ward in 1956.
