Mount Faraday is a 1,476 m high mountain on the Graham Coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . On the Kiev Peninsula, it rises south-south-west of Mount Nygren and 2 km northeast of Mount Shackleton at the head of the Wiggins Glacier . It is connected to Mount Peary in the southeast by a long narrow ridge, which in turn has some lower peaks. When viewed from the west, it appears as a striking, three-sided summit. The mountain forms the southern boundary of the Leay Glacier .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2011 after the British physicist and chemist Michael Faraday (1971–1867).
