Mount Ferranto is a 803 m high mountain in the Ford Ranges in Marie-Byrd Land in western Antarctica . It forms the extreme southwestern foothills of the main massif of the Fosdick Mountains .
He was discovered during a march undertaken between November and December 1934 during the second Antarctic expedition (1933-1935) under the direction of the US polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd . It is named after Felix Ferranto (1911–2002), radio operator and tractor operator of the United States Antarctic Service from 1939 to 1941.
