Mount Fridovich is a 440 m high mountain in Marie Byrd Land in western Antarctica . It rises on the northern flank of the mouth of the Leverett Glacier into the Ross Ice Shelf and marks the western limit of the Harold Byrd Mountains .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1967 after Lieutenant Bernard Fridovich of the United States Navy , a meteorologist at McMurdo Station in the Antarctic winter of 1957.
