Mount Hordern is a 1510 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the David Range of the Framnes Mountains it rises 6 km south of Mount Coates .
Participants of the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (BANZARE, 1929–1931), led by the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson, discovered the mountain in February 1931. Mawson named it after the Australian businessman Samuel Hordern (1876–1956), a sponsor of the Research trip.
