Mount Humphrey Lloyd is a prominent and 2975 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Admiralty Mountains , it forms the main part of the watershed between the head ends of the Towles and Manhaul glaciers .
The British polar explorer James Clark Ross discovered it in 1841. Ross named it after the Irish physicist Humphrey Lloyd (1800-1881), who had supported the magnetic and meteorological investigations in Ross' Antarctic expedition (1839-1843).
