Mount Hyatt is a 1600 m high mountain in the Palmerland . It rises 8 km northwest of Schmitt Mesa in the southern part of the Latady Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after Gerson Hyatt (1927–1988), who was involved in the establishment of the plateau station was involved.
