Mount Johnston is a 2150 m (according to the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee 2310 m ) high mountain with two snowy peaks in Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It towers over the western foothills of the Foster Plateau between Wilhelmina Bay and the Hektoria Glacier .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out a geodetic survey of the mountain in 1955. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named him after Captain William Johnston (1908–1968), captain of the research vessels RSS John Biscoe (1950–1955), the RRS Shackleton (1955–1956) and the new RSS John Biscoe (1956–1957 ) in the service of the survey.
