Mount Johnston is a 1770 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the Prince Charles Mountains , it is the southernmost elevation on the Fisher Massif and rises immediately west of the Lambert Glacier .
He was first visited in October 1954 by a team as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions under the direction of the New Zealand geologist Bruce Harry Stinear (1913-2003). The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it in 1958 by Douglas Malcolm Johnston (* 1928), pilot of the Royal Australian Air Force at Mawson Station in 1957th
