Mount Kimbie is a British minimal band consisting of Dominic Maker and Kai Campos. Founded in London in 2008 , the duo released their debut album with Crooks & Lovers on June 19, 2010, which was extremely well received by both the scene and the critics. Her second album Cold Spring Fault Less Youth was released in 2013 on Warp Records .

Kai Campos is originally from St. Austell in Cornwall, while Dom Maker is from Brighton. They met at Southbank University in London and soon began making music together in a private studio in Peckham.
With the release of a number of EPs and ultimately their critically acclaimed debut album Crooks & Lovers , the band is considered the founder of post-dubstep . The Guardian declared the duo as leaders in the "exploratory break from bass-heavy dubstep to a lighter, hazier style of electronic music, rich in sleepy ambience and chopped up tones". The Spex wrote of the advancement of an "aesthetics of intermingling", which does not shrink from "pigskin and shoegaze". The Musikexpress described the style, which doesn't fit into any drawer, as a charming “symphony of children's organ and vacuum cleaner, of folk fragments and crackling clicks & cuts from the last electronic rummaging table, of ambient carving and R'n'B waste”.
At the end of 2010, Crooks & Lovers was featured on over 30 “Best of 2010” lists including NME, Mixmag, DJ Magazine, Resident Advisor, Pitchfork Media, Drowned In Sound, Boomkat, FACT and Rough Trade Phonica Records.
Mount Kimbie have u. a. Produced remixes for The Big Pink , Foals , The xx and Andreya Triana .
The EP Blind Night Errand , released in 2010, features a live version of “Maybes” that was recorded in the Berlin club Berghain .
The band has often performed live with James Blake .
