Mount Kosciusko is a prominent and 2909  m high extinct shield volcano in the west Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . It occupies the central part of the Ames Range .

The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1974 after Captain Henry Marzy Kosciusko (1917-1997), head of the activities of the support units US Navy in Antarctica from 1965 to 1967.
