Mount Mankinen is a 2910 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Deep Freeze Range, it rises 3 km northeast of Mount Adamson .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1969 after the geologist Edward Alvin Mankinen (* 1939), who worked from 1965 to 1966 the McMurdo station was active.
