Mount Moonie is a 1686 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the Athos Range of the Prince Charles Mountains, it rises immediately south of Mount Dart and 1.5 km west of Mount Cardell .
Aerial photographs of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions from 1965 were used for mapping purposes. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named him after Patrick John Moonie (1936-2016), radio operator at Mawson station in 1967 and 1969, who in 1969 was also involved in surveying work in the Prince Charles Mountains.
