The Mount Peacock is a 3210 m high mountain peaks in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . The mountain rises 2.7 km southwest of Mount Herschel between this mountain and Mount Humphrey Lloyd, directly at the head of the Kelly Glacier in the Admiralty Mountains .
The British polar explorer James Clark Ross discovered him on February 15, 1841 during his Antarctic expedition (1839-1843). Ross named the mountain after the British mathematician George Peacock (1791-1858), a member of the British Association for the Advancement of Science , at whose instigation Ross' expedition had been approved by the British government.
