Mount Peleus is a 1790 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises about 5 km west of Mount Theseus in the Olympus Range .
Participants in a 1958-1959 campaign as part of New Zealand's Victoria University's Antarctic Expeditions named him after Peleus , King of the Myrmidons of Phthia from Greek mythology .
