At 765 m, Mount Percy is the second highest mountain on the West Antarctic Joinville Island after Mount Tholus . It rises north of Mount Alexander near the center of the island.
The British polar explorer James Clark Ross discovered him on December 30, 1842 during his Antarctic expedition (1839-1843). Ross named the mountain after Rear Admiral Josceline Percy (1784-1856) of the Royal Navy .
