The Mount Queen Mary is a 3928 m high mountain in the Saint Elias Mountains in Canada's Yukon Territory . In 1935 the mountain was named after them together with the neighboring Mount King George on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the reign of George V and Queen Mary .
Mount Queen Mary is located 38 km east of Mount Logan . The dominance reference point is the east summit of McArthur Peak, 25.2 km to the west . The mountain flanks are drained over the Hubbard Glacier in a southeasterly direction.
Ascent history
Mount Queen Mary was first climbed on June 20, 1961 by an expedition from Seattle (Ann Hughes, Dwight Hughes, Stella Degenhardt, Gene Dodson, Ken Davis, Art Nation and Leon Israel).
