Mount Allsup is a 2580 m high mountain in the far west of the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises at the east end of the Canopy Cliffs in the Queen Elizabeth Range of the Transantarctic Mountains .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1966 after the American meteorologist Nicholas J. Ropar Jr. (1927-2001), who worked in 1958 on the Little America V Antarctic station .
