Mount Schmidtman is a mountain in East Antarctica, Victoria Land . In the Convoy Range, it rises north of Mount Naab at the northeast end of Eastwind Ridge .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1999 in connection with the naming of Eastwind Ridge after Richard D. Schmidtman of the United States Coast Guard , captain of USCGC Eastwind in Operation Deep Freeze in 1960.
