Mount Selby is a 2200 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Britannia Range . It looms between Mount Henderson and Mount Olympus .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it after the geoscientist Michael J. Selby of the University of Waikato , who conducted three Antarctic research campaigns (1969/70, 1971/72 and 1978/79) on geological surveys, most recently in the Britannia Range , was active.
