Mount Spencer is a 1010 m high mountain in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . In the Allegheny Mountains of the Ford Ranges, it rises 1.5 km south of Mount Darling .
It was discovered during overflights during the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939-1941). It is named after Herbert Reynolds Spencer (1894–1968), commander of the sea scouts , to which Paul Siple had belonged, head of the expedition's west base.
