Mount Steep is a 978 m high mountain on the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Denton Hills, it rises on the east bank of Lake Buddha .

The New Zealand Geographic Board appointed him in 1994 him after the steep (English steep ) climb on its western flank.
