Mount Tethys is a 1252 m high mountain on South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It is the northernmost summit of The Trident ridge, southeast of the Murray Snowfield and Briggs Glacier .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2015 after the titan and sea goddess Tethys from Greek Greek mythology , and the other peaks of the ridge, Mount Poseidon and Mount Thalassa , are named after Greek deities.
