Mount Thalassa is a 1246 m high mountain on South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It is the southernmost peak of The Trident ridge, southeast of the Murray Snowfield and Briggs Glacier .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2015 after the sea goddess Thalassa from Greek Greek mythology , and the other peaks of the mountain ridge, Mount Poseidon and Mount Tethys , are named after Greek deities.
