The Trident ( English for The Trident ) is up to 1338 m high mountain ridge in South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It rises on the east flank of the Briggs Glacier and is composed of the three peaks Mount Tethys , Mount Poseidon and Mount Thalassa from north to south .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee gave it its descriptive name after the 1951-1957 South Georgia Survey campaign .
