Mount Underwood is an elongated mountain in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . It rises 3 km east of Mount Flett in the center of the Nye Mountains .
It was mapped using aerial photographs taken in 1956 and 1957 as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named it after Robert Underwood, a geophysicist at Wilkes Station in 1959.
