Mount Welser is a 1150 m high mountain on the Scott coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises 3.5 km east-northeast of Mount Davidson in the center of a mountain ridge south of the Albrecht Penck Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2008 after Lieutenant General William Welser III. (* 1949), Commander of the Eighteenth Air Force of the United States Air Force's air fleets in recognition of the air support provided under the United States Antarctic Program .
