Mount Wrather is a 2095  m high, rocky mountain peak about four kilometers southeast of Mount Walcott at the eastern end of the Thiel Mountains .

Peter Bermel and Arthur B. Ford , who jointly led an expedition of the United States Geological Survey from 1960 to 1961 in the Thiel Mountains, named him after the American geologist William Embry Wrather (1883-1963), sixth director of the 1943 survey until 1956.
