The Movimentu Dezenvolvimentu Nasional MDN ( Portuguese Movimento de Desenvolvimento Nacional , German  Movement of National Development ) is an alliance of East Timorese parties. It was founded in March 2018.

The alliance includes the monarchist Associação Popular Monarquia Timorense APMT , the Movimentu Libertasaun ba Povu Mauchte MLPM , the Partidu Liberta Povu Aileba PLPA and the União Nacional Democrática de Resistência Timorense UNDERTIM . The President of the MDN is the MLPM General Secretary Vitor Reis Cadalac .

In the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2017 , the PLPA was still part of the Bloku Unidade Popular BUP , which won 0.9% of the vote. The other three parties of the MDN together received 8,009 votes, which corresponds to a share of the vote of 0.5%. In the early parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2018 , the MDN clearly failed because of the four percent hurdle with only 4,494 votes (share: 0.7%).
