The Associação Popular Monarquia Timorense APMT ( German : Timorese Monarchist People's Association ) is a political party in East Timor . It split from the Klibur Oan Timor Asuwain (KOTA) , the former Associacão Popular Monarquica de Timor . The president is Pedro da Costa Ramalho . The first general secretary was Cesar Agusto dos Santos Carlos , followed by Manuel Fernandes .

The APMT ran for the first time in the parliamentary elections on July 7, 2012 . However, it failed with only 3,968 votes (0.84%) at the three percent hurdle. She received over 3% in the then Ainaro district (4.59%).

In 2015 it was reported that the APMT had joined the Partido Democrático (PD) under Ramalho , but in the 2017 parliamentary elections , the APMT came up again with its own list. edro da Costa Ramalho topped the list at number 1. The APMT received 0.96% and failed to pass the four percent hurdle. The APMT then joined the Fórum Demokrátiku Nasionál (FDN) party alliance , but separated from the alliance in 2018 before the early elections on May 12th to become part of the Movimentu Dezenvolvimentu Nasional (MDN). However, this was only able to achieve 4,494 votes (share: 0.7%) in the parliamentary elections and thus clearly failed because of the four percent hurdle.
