Mtatsminda ( Georgian მთაწმინდა , "holy mountain", English transcription Mtatsminda ) is a mountain in the Georgian capital Tbilisi .

Mtatsminda is located on the right bank of the Kura . The mountain is approx. 730 m high and can be seen from all over Tbilisi.
Attractions
Tbilisi TV tower
The Tbilisi TV tower is also located on Mtatsminda . This was opened in 1972 and is 274.5 m high. At night this is very elaborately illuminated. The television tower is one of the landmarks of Tbilisi.
Mtatsminda Park
Mtatsminda Park is an amusement park on Mtatsminda . It was greatly expanded and reopened in 2009. Another landmark of Tbilisi that can be seen from afar is the ferris wheel in Mtatsminda Park, which is illuminated at night, like the television tower.
Pantheon
The Pantheon Tbilisi is located on Mtatsminda . Many important statesmen and poets of Georgia are buried there.
Funicular
A funicular about 500 m in length leads to Mtatsminda. This was opened in 1905. Since an accident in 2000, the funicular was temporarily out of order.
