Muhammed Türkmen (born April 9, 1986 in Ulubey ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

Club career

Muhammed Türkmen began playing club football in his hometown in the youth of the amateur club Altaş Soya Spor . Here he was nominated for the Turkish U-15 national youth team at the age of 14. Through his assignments in the Turkish U-15, the talent hunters of Fenerbahçe Istanbul noticed him and brought him into the youth of their club in August 2001. After playing in the Fenerbahçe youth team until the summer of 2005, he was encouraged to move.

So switched to the third division club İnegölspor as a professional player . Here he made it into the regular formation straight away and played there for two seasons.

For the 2007/08 season he moved to the second division Kocaelispor and then after half a season to Orduspor . At Orduspor he was used sporadically and left the club after a year for the third division İstanbulspor . Here, too, he only stayed one season and moved to the second division Kartalspor in the summer . At Kartalspor, he made it into the starting XI. Here he played one and a half seasons. He then moved to the first division club MKE Ankaragücü .

At his new club, he eked a reserve existence during the second half of the season and was only used in one cup encounter.

For the 2011/12 season, a move to the second division Karşıyaka SK did not come about at the last moment. So he stayed with Ankaragücü. In the first weeks of the season, his club ran into financial difficulties and could not pay the players' salaries for a long time. So many players split up. Türkmen decided to stay and almost always played as a regular due to the lack of players. He remained loyal to the club and led the club as team captain through the relegation battle. In 2012 he left the club and has been without a club since then.

National team career

In addition to the Turkish U-15, Muhammed Türkmen also played for the U-17 and U-18 national youth teams.
