The Muksu is the left source river of the Surchob in northeast Tajikistan .

The muksu arises at the confluence of the Seldara (left) and Sauksai (right). The two source rivers originate on the Fedchenko glacier and in the Transalai mountains on Lenin Peak . The Muksu flows in a westerly direction through the northwestern part of the Pamir Mountains and meets the Kysylsuu ( Kysylsu ) after 88 km . Both rivers unite to form the Surchob , the right source river of the Wachsch . The Muksu drains an area of ​​7070 km². The mean discharge is 100 m³ / s. The river floods between late May and early October .
