history

The Mundypark was named after Jaromir Freiherr von Mundy (1822-1894), the founder of the Vienna Voluntary Rescue Society, on March 23, 1932, in the City Council Committee for Culture of the City of Vienna , just like the adjacent Mundygasse .

Likelihood of confusion

In the case of Mundypark, there is a theoretical possibility of confusing it with the Mundypark in Coquitlam , British Columbia , whose name, however, has a different origin.
