Munir Hossn

Munir Hossn (born November 24, 1981 in the state of Paraná ) is a Brazilian fusion musician (bass, composition, arrangement).

Live and act

Hossn grew up in Bahia. He first worked with musicians such as Hermeto Pascoal , Roberto Mendes, Daniela Mercury , Lenine or Gilberto Gil , then internationally with Alex Acuña , Javier Ruibal, the Zawinul Syndicate , Quincy Jones and the Global Gumbo All Stars , Alfredo Rodríguez ( The Little Dream ), Concha Buika , Didier Lockwood , Paco Séry , Roberto Fonseca , Jorge Pardo , Mayra Andrade ( Studio 105 ) and Catia Werneck ( Jongando ). Hossn also leads his own projects - above all the Trio Pedra Preta with the Swiss musicians Toni Schiavano and Flo Reichle (albums on Unit Records since 2010 ) and Iyexá , an Afro-Brazilian group founded in Barcelona ( Dia de Gandhy 2008). Hossn released albums under his own name ( INdiGenaJazz 2011, Made in Nordeste 2015) and toured in Cuba, France, Spain, India, Venezuela, Germany and Morocco.
