The Muravyov Amursky Peninsula ( Russian Полуостров Муравьёва-Амурского ) is located on Peter the Great Bay in the Russian Far East . It separates the two sub-bays called Amur and Ussuri Bay , which geographically have nothing to do with the eponymous rivers.
The city of Vladivostok is located at the southern end of the peninsula, which was named after the Governor General Nikolai Muravyov-Amursky in 1859.
