The Peter the Great Gulf ( Russian Залив Петра Великого / Saliw Petra Welikowo) is a bay in the Russian Far East , consisting of Amur Bay , Ussuri Bay and the Eastern Bosphorus . There are numerous islands in the bay, including the Kaiserin Eugenie archipelago with the Russki , Elena , Popow and Reineke islands . In the center of the bay is the port city of Vladivostok .
